University Communications manages UVA’s primary social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Spotify, Twitter and YouTube. Over the past year, we have implemented a range of new strategies and tactics to increase our reach and cultivate existing audiences to drive engagement with our channels.
We tell stories about life-changing opportunities and discoveries. We celebrate victories on and off the field. We provide support and resources to our community. And we maintain our sense of humor: we helped take UVA’s April Fool’s video to the #11 trending video on YouTube, surpassing one million impressions across platforms.
We are committed to using social media to share authentic and emotionally compelling content that supports the University and helps share our story with the world.
