Another tradition at the University of Virginia is maintained and refreshed as Julie Caruccio becomes the first full-time woman Cavalier on horseback. An expert rider and “double Hoo” (two degrees from UVA), she embraces the opportunity to serve the institution and its students by leading the football team’s charge out of the Scotts Stadium tunnel on “Sabre,” Kirschnick’s horse.
